Here is a little teaching about a women and the POWER GOD has given us for our households.  Your Prayers Surround Your family as a shield.  As for me and my house hold we shall be saved.  The power of a woman’s prayers and BELIEF in God will influence her home and all who live there WILL BE SAVED.. 

Joshua 6:17 (NIV)

17 The city and all that is in it are to be devoted to the Lord. Only Rahab the prostitute and all who are with her in her house shall be spared saved, because she hid the spies we sent.

RAHAB, was a much more powerful figure in our lives than we realize.  Yes, she was full of sin (who isn’t) and living a life not so elegant and something that was criticized and judged, however, those sleeping with her were just as much in the WRONG so let’s NOT FORGET THAT (yet they are NOT MENTIONED nor even recognized… RAHAB WAS not only mentioned, she was SAVED by our GOD) …  

the thing that is different about HER is her BELIEF IN the TESTIMONY of what GOD has done and then she PLACES HER FAITH IN THAT GOD and her LIFE TURNED around 360 degrees. 

It’s almost like she was reminding the SPIES of this God they served… LOL, sometimes unbelievers KNOW more about our God than we do… JUST SAYIN… and then SHE and her ENTIRE household were saved… Not only was her entire household saved, the entire race of Israel was delivered into their PROMISED LAND because of this WOMANS courageous ACTS of SPARING the SPIES and HIDING them out in her home… God used her to give these men DIRECTION of how to get out and BACK into the CITY Gates… AND by her LETTING down the SCARLET ROPE on her door to save her family.  DEAR GOD what a TESTIMONY of ONE persons life and the influence she could have on us…  to top it all off  … God gave her a husband after all she had done with other men.. GOD GOD GOD saw her as a blessing to HIS people and HE GAVE her a future and a HOPE in HIM.. she married SOLMON the SPY and as ONLY OUR LIVING GOD would have it.  

ICING on this AMAZING BIBLICAL TRUTH…  Rahab became the GREAT GREAT GREAT grandmother of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior…

Now, about your life.  Be courageous… Put your FAITH in GOD when everything around you FALLS APART.  Put your HOPE in Jesus and the CROSS of Christ and What was ACCOMPLISHED ON THE CROSS.  WHEW.  HE DISARMED Satan over your life and over your family.  STAND in that TRUTH according to Colossians 2…  YOU ARE HERE on this earth for a reason.  LIVE….

Joshua 2:9 RAHAB said to them (the spies), “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. 10 We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed. 11 When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.

12 “Now then, please swear to me by the Lord that you will show kindness to my family, because I have shown kindness to you. Give me a sure sign 13 that you will spare the lives of my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them —and that you will save us from death.”

14 “Our lives for your lives!” the men assured her. “If you don’t tell what we are doing, we will treat you kindly and faithfully when the Lord gives us the land.”

15 So she let them down by a rope through the window, for the house she lived in was part of the city wall. 

24 They said to Joshua, “The Lord has surely given the whole land into our hands; all the people are melting in fear because of us.”

Rahab and her family were SPARED
